Carlton Winemakers’ Studio, a new cooperative winery in Carlton, Ore., originated with winemaker Eric Hamacher. Searching for a way to create space for himself and the increasing number of start-up wineries in Oregon, Hamacher worked with vineyard owners Kirsten and Ned Lumpkin to build a 10,000-square-foot winery that has individual bondable barrel rooms for tenant winemakers.
