Pathology-lab services company CellNetix moved into its new headquarters at 1124 Columbia St. in Seattle last October.
The company occupies 48,000 square feet on the first two floors of a seven-story First Hill building.
The first-floor space includes CellNetix’s conference rooms, administrative and pathologist offices; laboratories are on the second floor.
The company gutted and redesigned the space. Design decisions included placing the laboratory staff on the second floor to take advantage of natural light and improve employee retention. Supervisors’ offices were located directly inside the lab to encourage communication with staff.
Shelving was placed below the laboratory counters, also to make it easier for staff to communicate.
