Google tenant improvements

Google moved into a three-building complex at 747 Sixth St. S. in Kirkland in 2009 and has worked since then on improvements to the space.

The 175,000-square-foot campus includes buildings A, B and C.

There is a 450-square-foot server room, a 780-square-foot testing lab, intermediate and main distribution frame rooms, and battery back-up equipment. Rooms are served by dedicated cooling systems with redundant equipment, and HVAC and electrical systems have been designed to meet the company’s specific needs.

New fiber optic cable connects all the buildings.

The most recent renovation to the third building has a travel theme, with a coffee bar made to look like a cruise ship. There are lounge areas, a climbing wall, conference center, shower rooms, a theater and fitness center.

Two informal meeting rooms were created in motorboats that are moored at wooden docks.

Buildings A and C are LEED platinum for commercial interiors, and Building B is LEED gold for commercial interiors.
