A recent Seattle Public Utilities report details the condition of local waters and provides a rough guide for how cities, agencies and developers can help improve water quality.
The 330-page, two-volume State of the Waters report took years to create by compiling data on Seattle's local shorelines, small lakes and five urban creeks: Fauntleroy, Longfellow, Piper's, Taylor and Thornton. Another document called “A Science Framework for Ecological Health in Seattle's Streams” provides a blueprint for how groups can use the report's information.
