Starbucks' new look: Green and local

  • The coffee chain wants stores to reflect the communities where they are located.

    The first store built under the new concept is at First Avenue and Pike Street in Seattle. It is intended to show Starbucks’ roots in the neighborhood and is awaiting LEED certification.

    The University Village Starbucks, said to be one of the busiest Starbucks in the world, is closed for a remodel that will show off the global coffee chain's new approach to design.
