A local group plans to create a forest of food-bearing trees and plants in Seattle's Jefferson Park that the public would harvest and eat.
It is seeking qualifications by Jan. 10 for a landscape architecture team to help it design the “food forest” on land owned by Seattle Public Utilities, a city agency, in the Beacon Hill park.
