CleanScapes wants to merge with Recology

  • CleanScapes CEO says merging with the San Francisco-based firm will allow it to build solid waste infrastructure like transfer stations and composting plants.

    CleanScapes, one of the city of Seattle's waste haulers, plans to merge with San Francisco-based Recology.

    Chris Martin, CleanScapes CEO, said the business will be a wholly owned subsidiary, and retain its name and management. CleanScapes has about 280 employees and is not planning layoffs.
