SEATTLE — The Association of Engineering and Environmental Geologists will hold its annual meeting Sept. 8-14 at the Westin Hotel in Seattle and the theme is “From the Mountains to the Sound.”
Earth science professionals, teachers and students will take field trips to learn about the state's unique geology, and attend classes and discussions about the work of geologists. Topics will include the Elwha River restoration, fisheries, tunneling, seismic hazards, site cleanups, tsunamis and landslides.
