SEATTLE — RainWise, a joint program of Seattle and King County, is offering a workshop Wednesday about how to get rebates for installing an approved rain garden or cistern.
The average rebate is $4,500. A press release from RainWise said more than 600 projects are reducing 9 million gallons of runoff annually.
The program offers rebates for up to 100 percent of a professionally installed rain garden or cistern on private property. Residents can go to rainwise.seattle.gov to learn about eligibility and environmental benefits.
The workshop is from 7 to 8:30 pm at Sand Point Community United Methodist Church, 4710 N.E. 70th St.
