SEATTLE — Seattle Summer Parkways starts Saturday, Sept. 12 in the Central District when more than 40 blocks will become “parkways” where people can bike, play, walk and run. SDOT said a three-mile route in the area will be closed to through traffic from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. but open to local traffic.
Activities will take place in four neighborhood parks: Pratt Park, Judkins Park, Garfield Playfields and Powell Barnett Park. Events will include food trucks, live music, classes, demos and bike polo.
