OLYMPIA — The Washington State Department of Natural Resources is seeking public input on a 20-mile mountain bike park in the Stillaguamish Valley. DNR is working with Darrington, Evergreen Mountain Bike Alliance and others to build 20 miles of single track on DNR-managed lands on North Mountain. Opening will start next spring.
DNR said in a press release this will be a draw for mountain bikers from across the state. The agency is also considering adding a multi-use trail for hiking.
Information is at http://www.dnr.wa.gov/DarringtonMTB. The next open house is Tuesday, Dec. 1., from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. in the Stillaguamish Conference Room at 154 Cox Ave. in Arlington.
