EVERETT — An event called “Growing with a Purpose: Building a Community Garden” with Andy Anderson is set for 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 30, at Washington State University's Snohomish County Extension Cougar Auditorium in McCollum Park in Everett.

Anderson's group has expanded a community garden in Mount Vernon with raised beds, greenhouse, trickle irrigation and an injection fertilizer system. Anderson has a degree in horticulture and Ph.D. in plant science/plant physiology.
