SEATTLE — Puget Soundkeeper reached a settlement on Wednesday to resolve a federal Clean Water Act case filed last year in U.S. District Court against Total Terminals International (TTI) and the Port of Seattle.
Puget Soundkeeper first brought a legal action against TTI in 2011 for allegedly violating the state's Industrial Stormwater General Permit at Terminal 46, where it operated an international container shipping business. In 2013, a consent decree with TTI required the installation of a new stormwater treatment system.
