Washington's wetlands remain protected, Ecology says

Washington’s wetlands are protected under the state’s Water Pollution Control Act of 1945.

Following a recent U.S. Supreme Court decision that narrowed federal protections for some wetlands and streams, the Washington Department of Ecology has issued a news release reiterating that wetlands remain protected in the state.
