County OKs $30M for parks projects

SEATTLE — The King County Council has unanimously approved $30 million in 2020-2025 Parks Levy funding to be allocated to projects that will build and upgrade aquatic facilities, enhance parks and trails, protect and restore river corridors, and make access to healthy recreation more equitable.

The funding package will support 53 projects in total. Grant recipients include cities, park districts, school districts, tribes and community organizations.
