King County behind on salmon habitat restoration goals, audit finds

The county owns over 900 fish barriers including this to-be-removed culvert at West Village Park Creek under I-90 near Issaquah.

The King County Auditor's Office has completed a review of the county's Fish Passage Restoration Program (FPRP) and found that it doesn't currently line up with the county's goals “to open the best habitat for fish as fast as possible.”
