Eighteen tribes and three tribal organizations in Washington state have been awarded a combined $32.2 million to support projects that will fight the impacts of climate change through relocation, water quality and other climate resilience work.
The grants come from the Bureau of Indian Affairs' Tribal Climate Resilience Program and were made possible by funding included in the Inflation Reduction Act and Bipartisan Infrastructure Law.
