$28M for state to replace lead pipes

SEATTLE — The Environmental Protection Agency announced yesterday that Washington will receive $28.65 million to help identify and replace lead service lines, preventing exposure to lead in drinking water.

A news release yesterday said the funds are part of the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, which will invest $15 billion to identify and replace lead service lines, and are available through EPA's Drinking Water State Revolving Fund.
