PSE adds two new clean energy projects

BELLEVUE — Puget Sound Energy announced Tuesday two large projects in Washington that will add an estimated 342 megawatts of clean energy from utility scale solar and battery energy storage.

The first is the development of a utility-scale solar facility known as Appaloosa Solar Project that PSE will own and operate within the existing PSE Lower Snake River Wind Facility footprint in Garfield County. That project will be developed and built by Qcells USA, with construction set to begin in 2025. Commercial operation is expected in December of 2026.
