$20M in grants for more EV stations

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Washington state is about to get hundreds more electric vehicle charging stations near Interstate 5 thanks to approximately $20 million in grant money from the U.S. Department of Transportation.

DOT has awarded the Northwest Tribal Zero Emission Vehicle Charging and Fueling Infrastructure Network, which includes five tribal communities in the state, $15 million to install chargers at various sites. The city of Renton will receive around $5 million for chargers.
