SEATTLE — Foresters with the King County Department of Natural Resources and Parks recently planted 5,700 tree seedlings in the floodplains of Issaquah Creek.
The seedlings are varieties from warmer, drier regions including Southwest Washington and Northern California. They were planted as part of the county's 30-Year Forest Plan, which includes a study on promoting healthy, resilient local forests as the climate changes.
