Tribes to electrify fishing boats

OLYMPIA — The state Department of Commerce and tribal leaders are in the process of designing a new Tribal Electric Boats Program that will award grants to tribal governments and enterprises to electrify fishing boats.

The program is funded by the Climate Commitment Act.
