Kenmore finalizes urban forestry plan

KENMORE — The city of Kenmore has completed its first Urban Forestry Management Plan (UFMP), providing a long-term strategy to manage and grow the city's local tree canopy to sequester carbon and help meet the city's greenhouse gas reduction goals.

The forestry plan aims to support Kenmore's Climate Action Plan and aligns with Kenmore's updated Comprehensive Plan, a policy document that emphasizes the city's core values of environmental sustainability by encouraging the preservation and protection of trees on public and private properties.
