New initiative on water shortages

OLYMPIA — Gov. Bob Ferguson and the state Department of Ecology announced Wednesday the launch of a statewide initiative aimed at bolstering the state's water supply.

Following the declaration of a statewide drought for a record-breaking fourth consecutive year, the “Washington's Water Future” initiative launches a series of rountables to develop policies for sustainable and resilient water supplies.
