State awards $85M for EV chargers

OLYMPIA — The Washington State Department of Commerce will award over $85 million in grants to fund nearly 5,000 new electric vehicle charging stations in communities throughout the state.

The funds are going to nonprofits, electric utilities, tribes and public agencies.
