Power rates set to rise about 5.4%

SEATTLE — Starting Jan. 1, a previously approved power rate increase averaging about 5.4% is set to show up on your bill, Seattle City Light says.

On its Powerlines blog, the utility says that residential customers will see an increase of around $4 per month. Those enrolled in its Utility Discount Program will see a $2 increase per month.
