New electric buses take to the streets

SEATTLE — A fleet of yellow and seafoam blue battery-electric buses began serving riders in South King County yesterday.

King County Metro ordered the buses from GILLIG. They are the first of 89 buses purchased from the California-based firm to be rolled out by the operator.
