Samsung profits from AI chip boom

SEOUL, South Korea (AP) — Samsung Electronics has reported a record operating profit of $80.5 billion, driven by high demand for computer memory chips used in AI systems.

Revenue for the July-September period also hit a record $146 billion, marking the fourth consecutive quarter of record profit and revenue.
