Tech Test: Gizmos give cell users extra power in a pinch

    SAN JOSE, Calif. -- They halt conversations in mid-sentence, abandon drivers when tires go flat and can even scuttle business deals. We're talking about quick-draining cell phone batteries -- the Achilles heel of the mobile device age.

    With power-hogging games, cameras and navigation systems becoming common features on cell phones, there are now a growing number gizmos designed to provide some power in a pinch if you find yourself without your recharger or an outlet.
