Cruise lines try to add the ‘wow factor'

Royal Caribbean’s Quantum of the Seas cruise ship has a “bionic bar” that features two robotic arms that can craft, mix and pour a variety of cocktails and drinks. The bionic bar is one of a number of first-at-sea attractions on the ship, which also offers bumper cars, simulated skydiving and an observation capsule with a bird’s eye view 300 feet above the water.

NEW YORK — Snow rooms, adventure cruises and a continued emphasis on specialty food and drink are some of the trends for cruising in the next year or two.
