SEATTLE — Pacific Northwest Ballet's performance “Next Step: Outside/In” returns for its annual one-night-only outing on June 14, in and around Seattle Center's Marion Oliver McCaw Hall, 321 Mercer St.
The innovative choreographers' showcase features original danceworks bursting out of McCaw Hall and spreading across the grounds of Seattle Center. The festival of new dance will feature choreography created in collaboration with the Seattle dance community.
It begins outside at 6 p.m. with free, rotating performances of five site-specific danceworks created by Dammiel Cruz, Christopher D'Ariano, Ron Gatsby, Mark Haim, and PNB School's New Voices: Choreography and Process for Young Women in Dance, under the direction of Eva L. Stone.
Food trucks and carts will add to the festivities.
The event moves inside at 7:30 p.m. for six premieres by PNB choreographers, all danced by PNB School Professional Division students, and concludes with a post-show Q&A. Tickets are $25.
