Artists transform Firestone building

BALLARD — A new public art exhibition titled “The Firestone” will open May 17 in Ballard. Running through July 12, the project invites visitors to explore the former Firestone building along Market Street, which has been temporarily repurposed into an arts space. The exhibition is free and open to the public daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

More than 20 local artists will participate in the exhibition, which is designed to explore how art can activate underutilized urban spaces. The event includes both exterior and interior installations. Muralists will contribute work to the building's exterior.
