SEATTLE — The Seattle Public Library is hosting a variety of free arts and literary events throughout August at multiple branches and venues across the city.
Highlights include a Silent Reading Party on Aug. 9 at Seattle Center's Mural Amphitheatre, and “Rooted & Rising: Stories from the African American Archive,” an exhibit at Central Library running Aug. 11 through Oct. 5. Author events feature Ray Nayler, Isabel Cañas, and Lynda Mapes, with discussions and book launches taking place at the Central Library.
