SEATTLE — Seattle Opera has announced its 2026/27 season, the company's 63rd, featuring four mainstage productions at McCaw Hall.
The season opens in October 2026 with “Salome,” returning to Seattle Opera for the first time since 2002 in a production originally seen at Irish National Opera. In January 2027, “El último sueño de Frida y Diego” arrives in Seattle following productions at major U.S. companies since its 2022 premiere, portraying the relationship between artists Frida Kahlo and Diego Rivera within a Day of the Dead setting. March brings “Lakmé” in concert, last heard in Seattle in 2000, presented with orchestra and chorus at McCaw Hall.
