Cherry Festival March 13-29

SEATTLE — The fifth annual U District Cherry Blossom Festival returns March 13–29, celebrating the seasonal bloom at the University of Washington Quad and bringing blossom-themed specials to neighborhood businesses.

Organized by the U District Partnership, the 17-day festival features cherry-inspired food, drinks and retail promotions from about 90 businesses across Seattle's University District. Visitors flock to the campus each spring to see the 29 Yoshino cherry trees lining the Quad, which are expected to reach peak bloom in mid-to-late March.
