‘39 Steps' at Centerstage Theatre

FEDERAL WAY — Centerstage Theatre will stage “The 39 Steps” March 27-April 19, bringing a fast-paced comedic spy thriller to the Knutzen Family Theater.

Adapted from John Buchan and Patrick Barlow and inspired by Alfred Hitchcock, the story follows Richard Hannay, an ordinary man who becomes entangled in a mysterious espionage plot after a chance encounter with a woman claiming to be a spy. When she is murdered, Hannay goes on the run, racing across the countryside to clear his name and stop a secret organization — all while encountering a whirlwind of characters played by a cast of four.
