Waterfront Block Party returns

SEATTLE — The fifth annual Waterfront Block Party will return to Waterfront Park on Aug. 29, offering a full day of free music, dance, food and family activities across Pier 62, Pier 58 and the Salish Steps. The event runs from 1 to 8 p.m. and celebrates the completion of Seattle's 20-acre Waterfront Park.

Four live performances are scheduled on the Pier 62 stage, including Todo Es, RUB and Clinton Fearon & the Boogie Brown Band. Pier 58 will feature cultural performances and DJs throughout the afternoon, while the Salish Steps will host inclusive dance workshops, community activities and a parade led by the Daughters of Royalty Drill and Dance Ensemble.
