Creepy, crawly, disgusting and scary

SEATTLE -- Community centers throughout Seattle will offer fiendish fun and ghoulish games at parties, carnivals, haunted houses and nature treks this Halloween season. Here are just a few:
- Haunted House at Southwest Community Center (Oct. 26-27): 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at 280 S.W. Thistle. Creepy, crawly, disgusting and scary -- everything you want in a haunted house! Ages 10 and older. Cost is $1 per trip through. If you'd rather play carnival games, tickets are 25 cents each or five for a dollar. (206) 684-7438.
- Crypt's Coffin Club at Golden Gardens Teen Center (Oct. 26-28): 6:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. at 8498 Seaview Ave. N.W. Where do all the horror movie stars like Freddie, Michael, Chucky and that scary dude from "Scream" go to relax? They go to Crypt's Coffin Club of course. Come if you dare, but if you scare easily, don't come to this haunted house. Halloween howls for kids 10 and over. Cost is $4. (206) 782-9371 or (206) 684-4031.
- The Nature of Halloween at Camp Long (Oct. 27-28): 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. or 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at 5200 35th Ave. S.W. Spend a dark, moonless night with real owls, bats and witch's brooms! Ghoulish guides will bewitch you with tales revealing how owls, bats and spiders become bound up with this spooky night. Haunt the trails, so dress warmly, for a spine-chilling evening. Cider and popcorn provided for goblin'. Ages six and older. Cost is $9 or $32 for a group of four. (206) 684-7434.
