Seattle Opera opens Wagner's ‘Ring' cycle

SEATTLE — Richard Wagner's epic opera cycle, “Der Ring des Nibelungen,” opens at McCaw Hall this weekend. Seattle Opera will stage the 17-hour, four-night production three times from Aug. 9 to 30.
