After Hours: Help improve a park on Public Lands Day

Mount Rainier’s Glacier Basin Trail was heavily damaged during the storms of November 2006. The park wants volunteers to rebuild the trail and move it away from the river.
WASHINGTON (AP) — Some 130,000 volunteers are expected to spend Sept. 26 working in parks, beaches and wildlife reserves to build trails, remove garbage and pull up invasive plants.
