Gig Harbor museum opening Sept. 18

The first special exhibit is “Stars and Stripes: A captivating collection of America’s icon,” with pieces from the collection of San Francisco-based graphic designer Kit Hinrich.
GIG HARBOR — The grand opening of the Harbor History Museum is set for Sept. 18 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. There will be food, games, craft demonstrations and living history enactments. Admission is free for the day.
