SEATTLE — Mickey Thomas, lead singer of Starship (formerly Jefferson Starship), will star as Dennis in “Rock of Ages,” the 1980s rock musical/concert that ran for six years on Broadway and plays Feb. 1-24 at Seattle's 5th Avenue Theatre.
When he was with Starship, Thomas sang hits such as “We Built This City,” “Nothing's Gonna Stop Us Now” and “Sara.”
The local production also stars Diana Huey as Sherrie and Galen Disston of Seattle's own Pickwick as Drew, as well as Felicia Loud and Sara Porkalob.
A small town girl and a city boy meet while pursuing their Hollywood dreams — and their rock ‘n' roll romance unfolds through the hits of Styx, Whitesnake, Poison, Foreigner, Joan Jett, REO Speedwagon, Pat Benatar, Twisted Sister and more.
Tickets for “Rock of Ages” are on sale now at http://www.5thavenue.org, by phone at (206) 625-1900, or at the Box Office at 1308 Fifth Ave.
