Titan Salvage works to re-float ship in Chile

The M/V Laurel, a 26,800-deadweight-ton bulk carrier, was in a dry dock in Talcahuano, Chile, when an 8.8-magnitude earthquake struck. Tsunamis lifted the ship up and out of the dock, thrusting it onto the pier bulkhead.

Titan Salvage and Remolcadores Ultratug worked together to safely re-float the M/V Laurel, a 26,800-deadweight-ton bulk carrier, which was in a dry dock undergoing routine maintenance in Talcahuano, Chile, in February when an 8.8-magnitude earthquake struck the country.
