In Seattle, PAE promoted Daniella Wahler to associate. She specializes in HVAC design for health care. The firm provides mechanical, electrical and plumbing consulting engineering.



The Watershed Co. of Kirkland hired Kyle Braun as a landscape designer and arborist, Jasmine Palmer as an avian biologist and ecologist, and Adam Tycaster as a marketing coordinator. Braun holds a bachelor of landscape architecture degree from Washington State University and will provide landscape design and arboriculture services. Palmer has a master's in biological sciences from California State University East Bay and a certification in wetland science and management from the University of Washington. She will work with private clients and municipalities. Tycaster has over eight years of experience in business development in the insurance, publishing and architecture, engineering and construction industries. Watershed provides natural resources assessment, mitigation and restoration design, environmental planning and permitting, arborist and landscape architecture services.




Federal Way-based ESM Consulting Engineers promoted Keith Combs and Evan Mann to associate, and hired Michael Kendall as a survey crew chief, Matt Reider as a planner II and Matt Seizer as a survey instrument person. Combs joined ESM in 2004 and helped it expand construction survey services in Everett. Mann has 10 years of experience managing residential, commercial and industrial developments, and is working on Archer Hotel in Redmond. Kendall has over 25 years of industry experience, including previously at ESM. Reider was a Whatcom County planner for three years. Seizer provides survey support to ESM's Everett crews. Combs and Seizer work in Everett. Mann, Kendall, Barr and Reider work in Federal Way.



Tacoma-based Tres West Engineers hired Reid Herron as a mechanical associate in the mechanical engineering division and Sara Smith as office manager, and promoted David Clem to electrical associate in the electrical engineering division. Herron has 29 years of experience in K-12, higher education and plant design. Smith has 17 years of administrative, marketing and accounting experience. Clem has 13 years of experience and specializes in telecom and electrical systems. Tres West provides design and engineering in mechanical, electrical, communications and construction management.

In Seattle, Sazan Group hired Janet Boss as a senior electrical designer. Boss has 22 years of electrical design experience on industrial, manufacturing and commercial projects, and experience in AutoCAD and Revit MEP. Sazan provides mechanical, electrical and fire protection engineering, information technology systems consulting, MEP commissioning and owner representation services.



In Seattle, OAC Services hired Pat Sprague as a senior program manager and Ponce Capati as a senior CAD technician. In Spokane, it hired Rusty Pritchard as a senior project manager in the construction management group. Sprague has over 24 years of design and portfolio management experience. He is on the project and construction management team and is deputy program manager on Lake Washington School District's 2016 bond program. Capati has 20 years of experience and a structural portfolio of projects using Revit and Autocad, including K-12, housing, higher education, public/municipal, assisted/senior living and health care. Pritchard has over 38 years of program and project management experience at federal, state and local levels. He will work on Spokane International Airport security improvements and on OAC's marketing strategy for eastern Washington.

sbe, a Los Angeles-based hospitality company, appointed Rod Lapasin general manager of SLS Seattle. The hotel will occupy 16 floors in The Mark, a 44-story tower now being built in Seattle. The hotel is set to open next summer. Before joining sbe, Lapasin was general manager of Salish Lodge & Spa and managed TCP Snoqualmie Ridge Golf Course in Snoqualmie. He has also worked at The Fairmont Olympic Hotel, Four Seasons Olympic and Sheraton Seattle, and won the 2011 Washington State Lodging Association Manager of the Year Award. SLS Seattle will have 189 guest rooms and suites, spa and fitness facilities, and a restaurant and cocktail lounge on top.
Pace International of Wapato said Rodrigo Cifuentes has joined as vice president of marketing and business development. Cifuentes has over 20 years of experience with domestic and multinational companies in agriculture, agricultural chemicals and food. Pace is a subsidiary of Valent BioSciences Corp., a Sumitomo Chemical Company, and works on ways to preserve the quality of fruits and vegetables.
