In its Seattle headquarters, Magnusson Klemencic Associates promoted Danny Currit, Amy Haaland, Janet Ranf and Tyler Ranf to senior associate, and Sonya Gabrielson, Kent Hulet, Byounggeon Kim, Josh Mouras, Ben Niesen, Greg Rogers and Brian Sayre to associate. In Chicago, it promoted Matt Streid to senior associate. Currit designs residential high-rise projects in the U.S. and is involved with MKA's performance-based design and earthquake technical specialty teams. His work includes Boren and Lenora in Seattle. Haaland designs mixed-use projects across the country and is involved with the high-rise and masonry technical specialty teams. Her work includes University of California San Diego North Torrey Pines. Janet Ranf designs cultural projects and leads MKA's continuing education program. Her work includes San Mateo County Government Civic Center in California. Tyler Ranf designs resilient aviation facilities in the U.S. and leads the vibration technical specialty team. His work includes San Francisco International Airport Terminal 1. Gabrielson leads MKA's water resources technical specialist team. Her projects include San Ysidro Land Port of Entry in California. Hulet designs office and mixed-use projects in the U.S., with work that includes Salesforce Tower in San Francisco. Kim designs high-rise office developments globally and is on the performance-based design technical specialty team. His work includes the University of Oregon's Hayward Stadium. Mouras designs convention centers and is working on Javits Convention Center in New York City. Niesen is in the civil group. His projects include the Missouri Riverfront Revitalization Master Plan in Omaha. Rogers is focused on retail and high-rise developments in the U.S. His work includes Wai Kai at Hoakalei in Ewa Beach, Hawaii. Sayre designs office developments on the West Coast. His projects include 2nd & University in Seattle. Streid designs office developments. His work includes Queens Quay Place Phases 1 and 2 in Toronto. Magnusson Klemencic Associates provides structural and civil engineering services worldwide.

First Northwest Bancorp

In Port Angeles, First Northwest Bancorp hired Terry A. Anderson as executive vice president and chief credit officer for First Federal Savings and Loan Association. Anderson has more than 20 years of bank management experience, most recently as executive vice president and chief credit officer at South Sound Bank. He will replace Christopher A. Donohue when he starts in September.

State Transportation Commission

Gov. Jay Inslee appointed James A. Restucci of Sunnyside to Washington State Transportation Commission. Restucci is vice president, chief technology officer and co-founder of Axcess Internet Services. He also is on Sunnyside City Council and was mayor for eight years.

OHSU Foundation

Oregon Health & Science University Foundation hired Matt McNair as president. McNair is president of Ohio State Innovation Foundation and vice president for economic and corporate engagement at Ohio State University. He will take over Aug. 13 from Rebecca Auman, who has been interim president since January 2017.

H5 Data Centers

Denver-based H5 Data Centers bought Intuit's 240,000-square-foot data center in Quincy, Grant County. H5 says Quincy has access to low-cost, renewable energy, state sales tax incentives, and reduced exposure to natural disasters. H5 operates 12 data centers across the U.S., including a 300,000-square-foot facility in downtown Seattle.

Beaverton, Oregon-based JRJ Architects hired Mikki Rogers as a senior project manager, Jeanine Crawford as a technical designer and Flavius Budisan as an intern architect. Rogers returns to JRJ after working for a Colorado design-build firm. She has 19 years of design and project management experience, with a portfolio of health care projects. She is working on Providence Health & Services and Kaiser Permanente projects. Crawford has over 25 years of design and production experience, focused on health care architecture, including projects for Kaiser Permanente. She is doing TIs at Portland Professional Plaza. Budisan has a bachelor's in architecture from Portland State University. He is working on projects in the Portland metro area for Providence Health & Services. JRJ provides master planning, architecture, interior design and space planning services to health care organizations.

StormwateRx

Portland-based StormwateRx LLC, a stormwater treatment and filtration company, said Robert Chapler earned his professional engineer license and has become certified as a Qualified Industrial Stormwater Practitioner. He has been promoted to project engineer, and will do technical and engineering design.

In Burlington, Trico Companies promoted Brian Jones and Kyle Nilson to project managers and John VanValkenburg to equipment manager; and hired Reilly Desmul as project engineer. Jones, LEED Green Associate, has 14 years of architectural design experience and five years of construction and management experience. He has been with Trico since 2014. Nilson grew up operating heavy equipment for his family's construction company before earning a bachelor's degree in construction management from Central Washington University. He joined Trico in 2016. VanValkenburg has 23 years of experience in industrial and heavy equipment maintenance. He joined the company last year as a heavy equipment mechanic. Desmul was an intern with Denizen Development Group in Seattle. She recently earned a bachelor's degree in civil and environmental engineering from the University of Washington.

Greg Lane is the new executive vice president of the Building Industry Association of Washington. Lane has 20 years of executive and administrative experience, as Deputy Secretary of State for three years, as president and CEO of the public interest network TVW, and as deputy chief of staff for former Attorney General Rob McKenna. Lane replaces Art Castle, who is retiring but will remain with the association through year end to assist with the transition.



Red Dot

Red Dot, a Tukwila-based manufacturer of mobile HVAC systems, promoted Nick Janus to president. Janus was CFO and general manager of Red Dot's European operations, and leader of its Chinese operations. He previously was vice president of finance at C.C. Filson Co. in Seattle, and served in senior finance positions at Philips in Boston and Seattle.




Auburn Mechanical

Brien Lautman was promoted to project executive at Auburn Mechanical. Lautman has been with the company since 2009 and manages the company's technology projects. Auburn Mechanical is an HVAC and plumbing contractor.






WSU

Matt Zimmerman was named registrar at Washington State University. Zimmerman was interim registrar for the past year and has been a WSU employee since 2008. He was associate registrar from 2013 to 2017, and veterans coordinator and assistant registrar prior to that.

Washington Sea Grant

Dr. W. Russell Callender was named director of Washington Sea Grant. Callender has more than 25 years of science, policy and management experience, including 18 years at NOAA and several years as assistant director of Virginia Sea Grant. He will join Washington Sea Grant in September. Based at the University of Washington, the program provides marine research, outreach and education services.

Frazier Healthcare Partners

Barbara Wachsman joined Frazier Healthcare Partners as a senior advisor on the growth buyout team. Wachsman retired earlier this year from Walt Disney Co. as director of strategy and engagement for enterprise benefits. She also spent 30 years with two international benefit consulting firms, and was a principal with Arthur Andersen. Frazier invests in health care companies. It has offices in Seattle and Menlo Park, California.
