In Seattle, Sazan Environmental Services hired Jennifer Frey as an associate and green building consultant, Paulette Buse as the operations administrator, Jaron Burbank as an engineering technician and Polly Membrino as a project coordinator. Frey will enhance the firm's sustainability consulting services. Buse will manage contracts, personnel and resources. Burbank will assist the commissioning team with plan development, reporting and field surveys. Membrino will focus on urban planning, LEED-EBOM projects and value engineering studies. The firm helps optimize building design and performance through third-party review services.

Seattle-based Weinstein A+U hired Mina Fatherazi as chief financial officer and accounting manager, Lindsay Koski as a design staff member and Marayd Hendricks and Will Brechter as architects. Fatherazi has over 20 years of experience in accounting and financial analysis. She supports and directs the firm's financial goals, objectives and budget. Koski has four years of experience on single-family, multifamily and master planning projects. She will generate housing strategies that support sustainable and vibrant communities. Hendricks has six years of experience in a range of project types. In Pittsburgh, she designed and managed multifamily mixed-use, adaptive reuse, retail and master planning projects. Brechter has four years of experience on single-family, multifamily, commercial and adaptive reuse projects.

In Seattle, Parametrix hired Luke Miller as a surveying supervisor and Tiffany Neier as a senior engineer. In Puyallup, it hired Dmitri Suslikov as a senior transportation engineer. Miller will manage work for the Seattle survey group. He has 15 years of experience in survey types that include residential and commercial. He was with David Evans & Associates. Neier is in the surface water practice, providing engineering to local agencies. She has 10 years of experience on green stormwater infrastructure projects and hydrologic and hydraulic modeling analysis. She has done projects for King County Wastewater Treatment Division and most recently was with BHC Consultants. Suslikov will work on municipal transportation projects for local agencies. He has nearly 20 years of experience specializing in municipal projects with a focus in road design. His work has included the Chumstick Creek Fish Passage Improvement project in Chelan County. He was with Exeltech Consulting. Parametrix provides engineering, planning and environmental sciences.

SH Architecture appointed Eric M. Roberts president and chief executive officer, succeeding John Anderson. Roberts, 43, joined the firm in 2005 and since 2016 has been vice president and director of the Las Vegas office. He won AIA Nevada's silver medal in 2015 and the Young Architects Award from the American Institute of Architects in 2019. He holds master's and bachelor's degrees in architecture from the University of Idaho. Anderson will direct the Redmond office, which opened in 2017. He will continue as vice president and chief operations officer. He has been with the firm for 25 years, the last 11 as chief executive officer. The appointments are part of a continuing strategic repositioning and rebranding by the 34-year-old regional architecture and community design firm, which also has a Salt Lake City office. The firm has nearly 40 employees.

HNTB Corp. named Jennie Santoro its Seattle architecture studio leader. Based in the Bellevue office, Santoro oversees architects and structural engineers and becomes the new client service leader for the Port of Seattle and Seattle-Tacoma International Airport. An architect, she has over a decade of experience on aviation projects, including United Airlines Terminal 7 and 8 redevelopment at Los Angeles International Airport. She has also worked on HNTB projects at international airports in Seattle; San Francisco; Denver; Oakland, California; Hawaii; and Bermuda. HNTB is an infrastructure firm.

Miles

Austin Miles, project manager with HKP Architects, completed the Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction Building Conditions Assessment training. He joins the statewide list of certified BCA consultants qualified to perform certified building condition assessments for school districts as part of the OSPI Asset Preservation Program and the Study and Survey process for Washington school districts.

Angela Rae is the new outreach and engagement advisor for the Seattle Department of Neighborhoods, where she is focusing on community engagement and organizing around Seattle Department of Transportation projects and the city's Special Events Office. Rae previously worked on special projects at the Seattle Fire Department.

Fraxion

Matt Diamond joined the board of Fraxion, a Seattle cloud-based procure-to-pay solution for business expense management. Diamond is an experienced entrepreneur, investor and media executive with over 20 years of experience in various industries including media, retail and nonprofit.

Spectrum Effect

Kirkland-based Spectrum Effect appointed Dr. John Saw to its board. Saw is chief technology officer of Sprint. Spectrum Effect specializes in radio frequency spectrum analytics, improving reception for mobile networks.

Alliant Insurance Services

Amy Fossum of Alliant Insurance Services received the Top Women in Benefit Advising designation from Employee Benefit Adviser. Fossum, a senior vice president in Alliant's Seattle office, was one of 20 women nationwide to earn the designation. Alliant is based in Newport Beach, California.

Chrysalis Inn & Spa

Hilton added Chrysalis Inn & Spa in Bellingham to its Curio Collection brand. Chrysalis is one of five hotels in the West that are now Curio Collection by Hilton hotels.

U-Haul

St. Johns Storage in Portland signed on as a U-Haul neighborhood dealer of rental trucks, trailers, towing equipment and moving supplies. The company is at 8190 N. Lombard St. Dawn Tangvald is the owner.
