Cascadia Duty Free Inc.

Cascadia Duty Free Inc., a Seattle-based duty free concessionaire, has announced a relationship with AMTRAK to provide duty-free services on the new Mt. Baker International route, from Seattle to Vancouver, B.C. Beginning in summer 1995, fragrances, liquor and tobacco products will be available to passengers traveling internationally aboard the high-tech, Spanish-built Talgo 2000. The agreement marks the first time duty free services will be provided on an AMTRAK train.

Tully's Coffee Corp.

Seattle-based Tully's Coffee Corp., a coffee company which owns 10 retail locations in the Puget Sound, has announced the commencement of a stock offering of up to 2.8 million shares of common stock priced at $1.50 per share with a minimum purchase of 600 shares. Purchases can only be made through a stock offering circular, available at any Tully's retail location. A winner of the 1995 Small Business Award, Tully's bases its expansion entirely on company-owned stores, rather than franchises. The company was founded in 1992 and currently employs 80 people, headed by Tom T. O'Keefe.

Olympic Capital Partners

Olympic Capital Partners, a Seattle-based investment bank dedicated to meeting the corporate finance needs of middle-market companies with annual revenues from $10 million to $250 million, was founded in March. Company principals include: Jerome C. Eppler, Wilbur R. Greenwood, Frederick O. Paulsell, Warren Van Gendren, Charles S. Wilke. Todd Ingram serves as associated principal. They have all been chief executive officers of mid-sized companies, in diverse industries ranging from entertainment and sporting goods to industrial equipment and financial services. The firm provides financial advisory and intermediary services, with an emphasis on mergers, acquisitions, divestitures and recapitalizations.

Seattle Art Museum

The Fulbright-Scholar Program, offering grants for college and university faculty as well as for professionals and independent scholars, has awarded Roderick L. Reinhart, development manager of the Seattle Art Museum, with a Fulbright-Garcia Robles Grant for the 1995-96 academic year. Reinhart has worked at the Seattle Art Museum since 1990. Previously, he worked for six years as the campaign director for the Corporate Council for the Arts. The grant will give Reinhart the opportunity to conduct seminars and lecture on fundraising for cultural agencies to graduate level students, administrators and volunteers at the National Center for the Arts in Mexico City.

Parker, Smith & Feek Inc.

Several promotions have been announced by the board of directors of Seattle-based insurance company Parker, Smith & Feek Inc. Jeane Maurer has become a shareholder of the firm, Chuck Szopa has been named senior vice president and new director, Greg Walsh has been promoted to senior vice president, and Dave Eckroth, Mary Stien, and Cynthia Jay have become vice presidents.

SAFECO

SAFECO Corp. real estate investment arm SAFECO Properties Inc., which develops, owns, operates and manages regional shopping centers, mixed-use projects and office buildings nationwide through the Winmar Company Inc., has announced several promotions. J. Randy Kyte, vice president of Winmar Company Inc. and assistant vice president of SAFECO Properties Inc., was appointed senior vice president of Winmar Company Inc., and vice president of SAFECO Properties Inc. Collen Broaddus, secretary of SAFECO Properties Inc. and assistant vice president/secretary of Winmar and SAFECO's medical real estate investment subsidiary in the West and Southwest, SAFECARE Company Inc., has been appointed vice president of SAFECO Properties Inc. And, Jackie Wilsey has been appointed vice president and controller of SAFECO Properties Inc.

University of Washington

The University of Washington will hold an open house about the University of Washington Evening Degree Program on June 8 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. in Kane Hall, Walker-Ames Room, on the UW campus. Securicor Wireless Networks Inc.

Bellevue's Securicor Wireless Networks Inc., which specializes in real-time information delivery for cellular, paging, personal communications services and specialized mobile radio communication systems, has appointed Christopher P. Dishman as vice president of finance and administration. Previously, Dishman was chief financial officer for Cable & Houses Ventures, a venture capital firm in the Pacific Northwest. He has also provided financial and operational services on a consulting basis for companies including Numera Software Corp., ConnectSoft Inc., and Neopath Inc., and served as audit manager for Arthur Young & Co. and audit senior for Coopers & Lybrand.

Jay Jacobs Inc.

As part of a restructuring of Jay Jacobs Inc.'s marketing department, Yeanna Woo, the company's senior vice president and GMM of Men's and Women's Off Price Apparel, will assume control of all marketing efforts company-wide. Her responsibilities including the introduction of the "New Jay Jacobs" to customers, and development of its prototype store of the future. Prior to joining Jay Jacobs, Woo worked at Lamonts for nearly 20 years, most recently serving as divisional merchandising manager.
