Electric Lightwave Inc.

Electric Lightwave Inc., a regional provider of all-digital fiber optic telecommunications networks and information services hedquartered in Vancouver, Clark County, has named Jerry Hegstad as account executive for its Seattle office. Hegstad was previously a systems representative for Electrocom, where he helped design and implement telecommunication systems for schools. Prior to that, as a program manager for Accucom Inc., he oversaw the installation of networking equipment for several telephone companies, and held similar positions with AT&T and Pacific Northwest Bell.

Systems Interface Inc.

Bothell-based Systems Interface Inc., a designer and manufacturer of industrial control systems, has promoted Larry D. Johnson to vice president.

American Association of Retired Persons

Andy Landis has been appointed as economic security representative for the American Association of Retired Persons. He will coordinate AARP's programs for retirement planning, financial education, and Social Security awareness in nine western states. Landis will continue working in his consulting practice, Thinking Retirement.

Grubb & Ellis

Grubb & Ellis has added Theodore Garman to its Seattle investment properties division. He specializes in the sale of commercial investment properties in the Puget Sound region. Prior to joining Grubb & Ellis, Garman was an associate broker with Chiles & Company.

Habitat for Humanity

Representatives from four condominium associations in the Overlake area met with Habitat for Humanity officials to review and reach an agreement on the 10-townhouse Habitat community on the former back parcel of Overlake Park Presbyterian Church. Evergreen Title Company has added Ray Eberth as president and chief executive officer of its King County operation. Eberth was formerly vice president in charge of sales and marketing for Transamerica Title Insurance Company Inc.

Weyerhaeuser Real Estate

Carino Homes, formerly known as EJC/Scott/Anthony Construction Inc., has begun building Bay Colony, the first attached maintained homes at Northwest Landing, the mixed-use planned community in DuPont. Northwest Landing is being developed by Weyerhaeuser Real Estate Company's land management division. Real estate professional seminar A daylong seminar featuring experts and exhibits on technology for real estate professionals will be held Sept. 8. The trade fair, being presented by the Seattle-King County Association of Realtors, will run from 9 am to 3 pm at the Bellevue Hyatt Regency. Speakers will include: Roald Marth, CEO of Superstar Computing; Chris Purcell, vice president of Top Producer Systems; and Daniel Bourgion, Microsoft's manager of real estate industry marketing.
