The Clearwater Group

The Clearwater Group, a health care management consulting company with offices in Seattle and the Bay Area in California, has appointed Linda Lekness as senior consultant. Lekness brings 17 years of senior health care management experience to the company and specializes in helping both physicians and hospitals succeed in capitated environments. She served as assistant vice president at Pacific Medical Center and director at Virginia Mason Medical Center in Seattle.

TCI Advertising Sales

Seattle-headquartered TCI Advertising Sales, providing access to cable networks, has named Kerin Brasch to the new position of regional sales director within the company's structure encompassing Washington, Oregon, Idaho and Montana. Previously, Brasch was director of sales/agency at TCI and Viacom-owned Northwest Cable Advertising in Seattle and supervised ad sales for the regional shopping network, TV Mart.

Continental Savings Bank

Cynthia Sonstelie has been elected to the board of directors of Continental Savings Bank, a subsidiary of Continental Inc. operating eight savings bank branches in Western Washington and in Oregon. Sonstelie is vice president of human resources at Simpson Investment Co. and will continue her responsibilities at Simpson Investment. She brings 23 years of experience in personnel and human resources management.

The Bellevue Club Hotel

The Bellevue Club Hotel, an in-city resort opened since February 1995, recently received the Gold Key Award for Excellence in Hospitality Design Competition, presented in conjunction with the 80th International Hotel/Motel and Restaurant Show held in New York. The hotel was also selected at the Grand Prize Winner for Lobby/Reception, and one of three finalists in the Guestroom/Suites competition. Sponsored by Hospitality Design and Lodging magazines, the 15th annual competition consisted of 136 entries from around the world, in five categories.

Xerox of the Pacific Northwest

Tukwila-headquartered Xerox of the Pacific Northwest has named Dick Walter senior national account manager. Walter has been with Xerox for 25 years and has held a number of marketing and service management positions throughout the company. Also, Ken Larson was named global account manager for several major accounts including The Boeing Company and Microsoft Corp. Larson joined the company in 1966 as a sales representative and was soon promoted to national account manager for Boeing. He has worked on national and international accounts covering a full range of Xerox products.

The Traver Company has moved to Belltown and is now located in The Banner Building, at 80 Vine Street, Suite 202, Seattle 98121. Telephone and fax numbers of the company are unchanged.

Qpoint announces 3 new locations

Qpoint International announced the signing of three new franchises. The offices are to be located in Lacey (Qpoint Capital), Richland (Qpoint Tri-Cities) and Portland (Mortgage Masters). Qpoint now has seven locations since the approval by the State of Washington to sell franchises in November of 1994.

Scott Real Estate

Dino Rossi has been named vice president and senior associate of Scott Real Estate Investments Inc. Rossi, a Seattle University graduate, has over 12 years of experience in commercial real estate.

Pacific Real Estate

Jeff Durrell recently joined Pacific Real Estate Partners, Inc. as a broker. He will be responsible for leasing and sales transactions in the Eastside and Seattle office market.

The Norman Company

Two chief engineers at the Norman Company, Scott Pierce and Chris Ulrich, were granted Certified Plant Engineer (CPE) designations from the Association of Facilities Engineers. Pierce is a chief engineer for a portfolio of suburban office properties. Ulrich is chief engineer for the Columbia Seafirst Center. Coldwell Banker Bain offers free public panel On Feb. 1, Coldwell Banker Bain will offer a free public panel discussion, titled "Are your housing needs changing in 1996." The panelist will include, Sherry Ellis of Washington Federal Savings, discussing the all-in-one construction loan and Denny Andrews of Great Western Mortgage, discussing FHA, VA and conventional loans; and builders Steve Holzknecht of Four Suns Builders with Sandy and Len McAdams of Renovations of Kirkland. Coldwell Banker Bain Realtors Myra Gamburg and Michell Ebeling will also be on the panel. The discussion will take place at the Kirkland Public Library, 308 Kirkland Avenue. Tully's comes to Queen Anne

Tully's Coffee, Seattle's second largest company-owned gourmet coffee retailer, will be opening a new store atop Queen Anne in February. The 1,500 square foot building will offer gourmet coffee beverages, custom roasted whole bean coffees, baked goods and Tullinis, Italian-style panini sandwiches.

RMLS moves headquarters

RMLS recently signed a lease for 4,100 square feet of space in the Lloyd Tower, 825 NE Multnomah, Portland. The larger space was necessary to handle the increase in membership gained since the multiple listing service was formed in 1991. The new headquarters features a training facility and consolidates all of the RMLS technology in one location. RMLS provides listing information, statistics and other professional assistance to over 6,000 members in the Portland metropolitan area.

Rural communities conference

The 1996 RCAC Conference, Building Rural Communities: Models for the Future is a training and networking event for rural development and preservation professionals; local community organizers and local, county, state and federal officials. The conference features technical training in housing, environmental facility development, operation and maintenance, nonprofit agency management, program development and lending, leveraging and alternative financing. The main conference, in North Shore Lake Tahoe will be two and one-half days ($295), April 22 through April 24. There will also be a pre-conference workshop on April 21, on drinking water issues in small communities. Judy Talle, joins the Madison Park office as a sales associate after working with Pat Egeck Relocation Services, Inc. since 1991. Kirkland's Mike Fischer joins Windermere from Prudential Preferred Properties with nearly 12 years of real estate experience. Diana Russell returns to Windermere after working eight years with Lake & Company. Russell joins the Oak Tree office. Randy Cramer, new to real estate, joins the Federal Way office.
