In a realignment of its management, UNICO Properties has promoted Allison Delong, Jackie Mallette and Dan Novack as property managers. In the prior arrangement, each had specific areas of responsibility they applied to the entire UNICO portfolio of office buildings, retail stores and restaurants. Now each will be responsible for all property management functions for specific buildings. Delong will manage One Union Square and Two Union Square. Mallette will handle Rainier Square, Rainier Tower, the IBM Building and the Skinner Building; Novack will manage The Financial Center, Puget Sound Plaza and the Cobb Building.
Winmar Company's newest senior vice president is Richard M. Amidei, formerly Midwest regional leasing manager. He will relocate from Milwaukee to manage Winmar's leasing department. E. Robert Nelsen will oversee lease administration and legal planning for the department.
Dave Porter has been appointed director of training and organizational development for John L. Scott Real Estate. He is a former production manager for Tegris Corporation, and is a nationally recognized instructor and columnist. He currently writes for the Tacoma News Tribune.
Waterford at the Lakes, a 344-unit apartment complex in Kent, sold Feb. 28 for $19.2 million. Agents for both buyer and seller were Geza Berger and Dennis Evans of Cain and Scott. Waterford is a luxury garden complex built in 1990 in the "Lakes Development," and features extensive recreational facilities.
A small crowd of 11 people have joined Windermere as sales associates. In the Northgate office, Gorjean Gibson joined from previous employment with Coldwell Banker Bain. Dirk Bouwer also came from that firm. In the West Seattle-Fauntleroy office, Kristi Freeburg and Shalimar Backman are newcomers. They came as a team from Prudential Northwest with 16 years' combined experience. In Auburn, Sharon Kittel came to Windermere after 12 years in retail and three years with Macpherson's Better Homes & Gardens. The Redmond office is the new place of work for Totiana "Tody" Pillsbury, who previously worked at John L. Scott for one year. Prior to that she was a school teacher for 14 years. Vicki Jackson also joined the Redmond office, having come from John L. Scott. In Kent, Darlene Brady, Frank Adams and John Nation have joined the office recently. Brady worked four years with The Allied Group, Adams was with Prudential Meridian Valley Realty, and Nation was with Prudential Northwest Realty. He previously owned and operated an automotive business. Finally, Beth Brockway has joined Windermere in Federal Way. She formerly worked with Expeditors International.
Commercial real estate broker Peter Crolius has been hired by Trammell Crow NW Inc. as an associate broker. He previously worked at Century Pacific Real Estate Advisors, a subsidiary of the Davis Wright Tremaine law firm, and at CB Commercial in Tacoma. Crolius will concentrate on developing brokerage services for Trammell Crow in the Snohomish County market.
GMAC Commercial Mortgage Corporation has announced $13.3 million in permanent financing for two deals recently. The US Bank Center, in Eugene, Ore., received $9 million of that figure; it is a 103,348-square-foot, eight-story building that is 90 percent leased. The borrower is Eugene Bank Tower Associates, L.P. The other transaction was $4.3 million in financing for Mountain Villa Mobile Manor, in Enumclaw. The 184-pad, 30-acre site is 98 percent leased. The borrower is Mountain Villa Mobile Manor, Inc.
The March 19 membership breakfast and program of the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties (NAIOP) will include a tour of the new REI flagship store in Seattle. Speakers from REI, GLY Construction and Mithun Partners architects will discuss the project. John Solberg, formerly vice president of Intracorp, has been named vice president of the Seattle office of Opus Northwest L.L.C. In that office he will be responsible for all of the firm's office, industrial and retail development in the northwestern U.S.
The Washington chapter of the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties has announced recent election results for the organization's 1997 leadership. Donald S. Jefferson, of Spieker Properties, is president; Bob Farra, of Martin Smith Real Estate Services, is president elect; William G. Williams, of Equitable Real Estate, is treasurer; Roger L. Anderson , of GLY Construction, is secretary; and Wayne E. Reisenauer, of Northwest Building Corporation, is the past president.
